http://affiliate-blog.amazon.com That's odd. Is the blog for associates or affiliates? Isn't there a difference? If I remember correctly, associates are not permitted to refer to themselves as affiliates. Here's something similar found in the help files:
http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/network/help/t15/a3/
So why not use associate-blog.amazon?

I agree with you about the clutter on the site, particularly the plogs - they're very annoying.

Because Americans are maniacs, probably. Anyway... I tend to frequent UK and FR discussions because it's a pleasant atmosphere. CA is silent as a tomb.

Just because this is the U.S branch of Amazon doesn't mean that the associates posting here are necessarily American.

True, though to the best of my knowledge all the really cranky ones are!

But there are also folks like you and Ann and Bill--the pleasant Americans.....

i have used websites like trafficswarm to bring users to my website-more out of curiosity.I have problems building links because I use a public library computer. traffic is slower, but sells are consistent. Do you think this is a good blog?

Delighted to see the blog. It is definitely needed, spurious claims to the contrary. The RSS feed enables me to monitor the blog every day in my newsreader and iPod, without having to visit the site for updates. Thanks.
