Hello Associates,
Today the Associates program announced the launch of aStore, Omakase, and Product Previews. We also announced a 4% premium on items referred through aStore and Omakase.
Read the poston the new Associates blog, and let us know what you think!

If I am currently earning 7% on my aStore, it will be raised to 11% for the rest of the quarter. |

I've noticed that now we can add individual items we want to a category, that category doesn't appear in the search dropdown. Since I selected individual items for all my categories my astore has no search option at all. I wish there was just a generic search as a Sidebar Widget so customers could search for anything in any category on Amazon in addition to what I have in my astore. |

| Will the bonus apply to click throughs on the "Go to Amazon.com" link that appears under the search box on the store Or will it only apply to transactions that occur through the shopping cart? Thanks in advance for you help. |

Sorry, I meant to phrase my previous post as a question.
If I am currently earning 7% on my aStore. Does the 4% mean it will be raised to 11% for the rest of the quarter? |

Great question. Yes, it applies to both clicks to Amazon from the aStore (including the search box) and transactions that occur through the shopping cart.

Here's what I did, making the category where I choose products a subcategory of my front page. See Rick's Films in the right sidebar here:
Richard Dean Anderson U.S. Store
That way, even though I chose specific products (because the usual Richard Dean Anderson DVD/VHS search shows many irrelevant results), it doesn't disrupt the amazon DVD category later on down the page. There may be a better way to do it, but anyway this works.
I liked the beta version where we could check all subcategories. I like to give visitors a focus on my website, but also the entire amazon set of categories. Now, it's more difficult to add subcategories - one at a time. I kept my first astore, which is the best selection, all amazon subcategories. |
