aStore Discussions -  Anyone Have Astore Success?

From what I read here most seem to think that Astores don't do well in sales. Does anyone have a successful Astore?

I am currently using an Astore widget and not getting any sales. I am thinking of using a regular Astore (not the widget). I want to use a link on my site for visitors to get there (in a new window). Any suggestions?

Joe

Most of the discussions here indicate that aStore doesn't work as well as individual links in the context of original content.

On a link to your aStore from your website, make it open in a new window by adding the target attribute to your aStore direct link:
<a href=http://astore.amazon.com/yourAffiliateID target="_blank">Name of Store</a>

You can use target="_new" instead of blank, if you prefer. In this case, "_blank" is fine because you want to open just the aStore link (as opposed to a list of links) in the new window, after which the aStore takes over on Amazon's site and opens subsequently-clicked aStore links in the same window.

I'd suggest using the same (or a similar) color scheme for the aStore as you use on your website. Take advantage of the options to use your logo in the aStore header, include a link back to your site from the aStore, and the brief "about us" page. The aStore "about us" page appears in a small window when visitors click the link to it. It has room for a solid paragraph or two (a.k.a., an "elevator speech") about your store and main website.
